11am - 5 pm | Garden Day Tickets
will cost £5 per person, children under 16 free. Proceeds from
the day will go towards supporting West Kington Church and Wiltshire
Air Ambulance. The
gardens offer variety. Some sit beside the stream, others are
terraced, some are newly planted and others are long established.
The
beautiful village church (with its connection to the martyr Hugh
Latimer) will be open and decorated with flowers from village
gardens.
Hog roast lunches with a vegetarian option will
be served at Brook Farm, beside the stream. Coffee and home-made Danish
pastries, and teas with home-baked cakes will be served at other
gardens in the village.
Additional attractions include a
beer and wine tent, a Pimms bar, an ice-cream stall, home-produced
plants for sale, a children’s trail, a grand raffle and garden-related
craft stalls (selling willow baskets, garden trugs and beautiful
hand-thrown garden pots). From M4 junction 18 take A46 towards Bath and left on A420 to Chippenham and follow signs for West Kington.
